FAQ

Does it support self-installed grid connection?

The SF2400 Pro supports user plug-and-play grid connection. If you wish to connect this product to the distribution box as a non-plug-and-play device to participate in feed-in tariffs, a certified electrician must connect it via fixed wiring to a new fuse and register it in MaStR as a non-plug-and-play storage inverter.

Which cable specifications should be used to connect the PV panels to the device?

It is recommended to use PV cables with a cross-section of ≥4 mm². When installed in conduits, they can carry approximately 25 A or more, in compliance with local electrical regulations.

Is a Wi-Fi connection and the Zendure App required?

Yes. The Zendure App is required for system setup, selecting operating modes, and remote monitoring. Ensure the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network to enable real-time data synchronization.

What are the requirements for the installation environment?

1. The device can be installed both indoors and outdoors, but direct exposure to sunlight and rain should be avoided.2. Ensure the device is within Wi-Fi coverage.3. Maintain at least 15 cm of free space above the device and at least 5 cm of ventilation space at the rear.4. The installation location must be within the length of the PV cables and the 3 m AC power cable.5. Keep the device away from flammable or explosive materials.6. Place the device on a stable and sturdy surface.

How to select PV panels?

Each independent MPPT input supports:- Module nominal power ≤ 660 W- Short-circuit current (Isc) < 22.5 A- Open-circuit voltage (Voc) ≤ 55 VIt is recommended that the total power of the PV modules connected to each MPPT does not exceed 1.5 times the nominal power (approximately 1 kW), to balance energy yield and system reliability under various weather conditions.

Can the AC off-grid output be connected to a PV inverter?

Yes. This port supports connecting PV micro-inverters with a rated power of ≤ 2400W to power the device. However, it only works when the device is connected to the grid.

Can the AC off-grid output be connected to a fuel generator?

No. The AC off-grid output is for powering loads only. Do not connect a fuel/diesel/petrol generator or any other grid-replicating power source, as this may damage the unit or create a safety hazard.

Can the SF2400 Pro be used without connecting PV panels?

Yes. Even without a solar energy system, you can charge the storage battery via the grid. This allows you to benefit from dynamic electricity tariffs by charging during low-consumption periods and thus reducing energy costs.

Which battery terminals are supported?

Supported battery head model: AB3000L. A maximum of 5 additional batteries can be stacked.

Does the device battery support safe charging at low temperatures?

Yes. The device has a self-heating function in low temperatures. When the ambient temperature drops below 0°C, the system automatically activates a heating mechanism to warm the battery to its normal charging temperature range, enabling safe charging and discharging in cold conditions.

Can the PV panels and battery supply power simultaneously?

Yes. The maximum combined load capacity is 2400 W.

Is the EPS function supported?

Yes. When the device detects a power outage, it automatically switches to power the load connected to the AC off-grid output from the battery, providing emergency power.

Can the AC off-grid output be used when the device is not connected to the grid?

Yes. The AC off-grid output also operates normally when the device is not connected to the grid, with a rated power of 2400 W and a peak power of 3600 W (200 ms).

Which smart meters can SolarFlow 2400 Pro work with?

How does a smart meter work?

A smart meter can monitor a household's total electricity consumption and power direction in real time. When the household's electricity demand increases, the meter automatically increases the discharge power; when demand decreases, the power is reduced. This enables precise real-time control at the 1 W level.

How can a smart meter achieve "zero energy waste"?

The smart meter dynamically adjusts the power output based on real-time household load, ensuring generated electricity matches consumption and avoiding grid export losses.

What is the purpose of the RJ45 port on the device?

The RJ45 port supports RS485 communication and enables real-time RS485 communication with the upcoming Smart Meter 3CT-S / 1CT-S.

Is Home Assistant supported?

Yes.

How should the device be stored?

For long-term storage, discharge the battery to 30% and charge it to 60% every 3 months. If the battery level is below 1% after use, charge it to 60% before storage. Storing with a low battery level can cause irreparable damage and shorten the battery's lifespan.

Precautions for winter use:

- Keep the device dry and avoid frost.- Regularly check the cable connections and water tightness.- If the device is not used for a long period, it is recommended to recharge it every 2–3 months.
